Neko-Kai Port Glasgow

Neko-Kai Karate Club Port Glasgow: Jim Downie 3rd Dan JKA

The club was formed in 1977 by Jim Downie and has produced many Dan Grades both young and of more senior years. Jim’s eldest son David passed Shodan at the age of 10 and was very successful in competition, his second son Garry went on to pass Shodan at the age of 9. Through the years many people from other dojos have trained in Port Glasgow on a regular basis, all having been made very welcome. The club has a reputation for it’s high standard of technique and discipline.
